We are hiring for a Software QA/Tester - Journeyman level to work on a U.S. Federal Civilian project. This is a Full-time 12-month contract, with possible extension.

Candidates must have (or be able to obtain) a public trust clearance. This position requires candidates to obtain/maintain a public trust background investigation.

Candidates should be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. If on Visa, you must have lived in the U.S. full time for the past 3 years / 36 months (no Exceptions). Residency will be validated.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software QA/Tester to join our team supporting federal clients. The person in this role will have demonstrated experience with manual testing, preferred in a federal government environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop, publish, and implement test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full lifecycle.
• Develop manual or automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data set.
• Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing.
• Assure the appropriate level of quality. Resolve defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software development process has an appropriate level of testing.
• Investigate and find potential security holes attack vectors within the code base.
• Work in iterative Agile/Scrum development cycles with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate effectively with federal clients, developers, and program managers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2-5+ years of combined technical experience in quality assurance and/or testing roles.
• Experience in Jira.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, specifically Kanban.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident w/Green Card (preferred).
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Federal Background Investigation
